From graduate to designer, I had the amazing opportunity to do work for The Modern College of Design. Previously, they were well-known as The School of Advertising Art and needed to evolve their brand into something that matched their focus as one of the top design schools in the country. The Modern has a deep following, from years of graduating alumni, upcoming designers, and hungry potential students. This evolution needed to be bold, yet grounded.
Their digital presence needed to speak to this as well. A complete redesign was necessary. Relating to my more recent experiences as a high schooler looking into the school, and then a student deep in the weeds of it, and now a proud alumni, I knew this website needed to do justice to many. Very carefully the UX was laid out to fully communicate the brand's new message in the most user-friendly way possible.
I was also lucky to be able to witness this rebrand through from not only beginning to end within the agency I worked with, but to be able to play a role in the design and development of the website from start to finish.
